Mr Silla has also served as Deputy Minister of Transport and now Ambassador to Egypt.

Ahmed Nanoh is a holder of MBA, MSc Development Economics, and MEd in Operational Management, and serves as the Executive Secretary and CEO of the Sierra Leone Chamber for Agribusiness Development, a leading umbrella agribusiness organization in Sierra Leone.
Previously, he was the National Manager for the National Private Sector Development Programme at the National Commission for Social Action and an international consultant for Western African Management for Financial and Economic Management. Before moving to the private sector, Ahmed worked as HR and Quality Control Specialist for leading telecommunications companies like Comium and as a consultant for Celtel (now Orange).
With over 16 years of experience in agribusiness development, private sector ITC, telecommunications, and SMEs, six of which were in the public sector, Ahmed has contributed widely to the growth of Sierra Leone’s private sector.
He serves on the boards of several reputable companies and financial institutions, including:
- Agribusiness Seed Company and its Audit Committee
- Public Authority for SME Development (Sierra Leone)
- Secretary for the World Bank National Trade Facilitation Committee
- Member of the Presidential Taskforce on Private Sector, Investment, and Agriculture
- National Steering Committee Member for World Bank SCADeP and Agro-processing Competitive Project
- IFAD Agricultural Value Chain Development Project
- Board member of Bennimix Food Company Ltd
- Board Chair for Agro-Venture Company Ltd
- Steering Committee member for African Development Bank project on Rice Value Chains
For the past six years, Ahmed has served as a national and international consultant for the World Trade Organisation (WTO), International Trade Centre (ITC), World Bank, IFAD, FAO, UNDP, and Global Agricultural Development Fund (GAFSP).
He is also an International Master Trainer for COMCASHEW & African Cashew Alliance and an International Professional for APHLIS, funded by Oxford University. Ahmed has trained over 10,000 farmers, agribusiness companies, and SMEs nationally and internationally, and has worked with donors and government to establish over 193 Agribusiness Centres and 16 Community Banks nationally.
In 2013, he was awarded the Private Sector and Business Professional Leader and Champion Award by the Sierra Leone Reporters Union.
