Access to Finance: Vista Bank & Matching Grant Financing Opportunities

SLeCAD continues to facilitate access to finance for agribusiness actors through strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagements.

Recently, SLeCAD hosted a high-level engagement with Vista Bank and partners to provide detailed insights into a Matching Grant Financing Facility designed to support agribusinesses, SMEs, cooperatives, and farmers across Sierra Leone.

The financing model combines grant and loan components, providing a unique opportunity for businesses to scale operations while reducing financial burden. Beneficiaries can access significant funding support, with a portion provided as a grant and the remainder as a structured loan through Vista Bank.

To qualify, applicants must demonstrate:

  1. A registered agribusiness or related enterprise
  2. Active business operations with verifiable records
  3. A clear business plan with projected returns
  4. Ability to meet basic financial and collateral requirements

This initiative aims to strengthen agribusiness value chains, improve productivity, and enhance private sector participation in agriculture.

SLeCAD plays a key role in ensuring that its members and stakeholders are well-informed, properly guided, and positioned to benefit from such opportunities.

👉 Members and agribusiness actors are encouraged to engage with SLeCAD to receive guidance and support in accessing these financing opportunities.
