Through its engagement with Vista Bank and the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), SLeCAD supported discussions on the Matching Grant Facility, designed to improve access to finance for agribusinesses, cooperatives, and small and medium enterprises.

ACCESS TO FINANCE – SAVIG PROJECT
The Sierra Leone Chamber for Agribusiness Development (SLeCAD) continues to facilitate strategic engagements aimed at strengthening agribusiness development and improving access to opportunities within the sector.
As part of this effort, SLeCAD participated in a Private Sector Meeting on the SAVIG Project (Sustainable Agricultural Value Chains Intensification for Growth), supported by the World Bank. The engagement focused on enhancing key agricultural value chains, including cocoa, maize, rice, and horticulture, while promoting transparency, inclusion, and private sector participation.
The discussions highlighted the importance of improving input systems, strengthening extension services, and ensuring that genuine farmers and agribusiness actors benefit from the project.
