Strengthening Sierra Leone–Cape Verde Business Collaboration Through Strategic Engagement

The Sierra Leone Chamber for Agribusiness Development (SLeCAD) participated in a strategic engagement session with H.E. Ambassador Belarmino Monteiro Silva focused on strengthening business and development cooperation between Sierra Leone and Cape Verde. The discussions highlighted opportunities in tourism development, private sector growth, regional trade integration, and institutional collaboration.

The engagement explored avenues to enhance economic partnerships, including the potential establishment of an Honorary Consulate to facilitate business relations, investment dialogue, and institutional cooperation between both countries.

Key beneficiaries of this collaboration include agribusiness SMEs, entrepreneurs, investors, and private sector stakeholders in Sierra Leone and across West Africa who may benefit from expanded market access, knowledge exchange, and regional business opportunities.

SLeCAD continues to support initiatives that enhance regional trade, strengthen agribusiness development, and promote sustainable economic partnerships.
